About Us

Startups have now become the engines of modern global economic growth. Through innovation and risk-taking abilities, entrepreneurs have transformed our society. At DCE Darbhanga, the start-up cell aims to promote young engineers to establish successful startups, thus become a part in contributing towards the startup India campaign with an aim of cultivating a startup culture so as to attain self-sustainability for India as a whole and help in the creation of more jobs, revitalization of neighborhoods, commercialization of new technologies and strengthening of local and national economies. The cell with its team of  coordinators  and student volunteers of the institute works for nurturing the potential start-up ideas that will cater need of both tech and non-tech solution to various social, economic and industrial problems of the nation.

Vision:

Creating a vibrant and dynamic Startup Ecosystem in the institute by playing a role of mentor to promote & facilitate the support system to innovative and entrepreneurial students and faculties to convert their innovative ideas/problems to tech-solution with a feasible business model stage.

Mission:

Promotion of Student start-ups through connecting and forming various student entrepreneurial activities to come up with technical solutions for the problems from Industry, Society, and Market to generate Ideas/Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and helping them to get converted to Prototypes and mentor them to develop business models.

Activities:

In order to meet vision and mission of the start-up cell, the club organised following activities:

  • Identifying students of Entrepreneurial tendency through General Entrepreneurship Tendency Test (GETT) and various competitions.
  • Entrepreneurial awareness through panel discussions, talk shows, idea generation workshops etc.
  • Hack-e-thon to sensitise students for innovation and entrepreneurship
